If you are a regular reader you’ll know our house is up for sale at the moment, in a slow property market I can but dream of my ideal bedroom. We’ve promised ourselves a King Sized bed for a start as neither of us is petite!

Its would be a great excuse to partake in one of my favourite activities- nesting (ie shopping for homewares). And my Pinterest board named“Bedroom” has a total of forty three pins so far, here’s a flavour…

I like a good headboard!

The high ceilings, the shutters, the fireplace, the wardrobes, the floor *Le sigh*

We’d probably stub a toe or kneecap on this in the dark so not sure how practical it would be- but its delicious! In reality we’d probably go for a divan style bed as they tend to have a good amount of storage drawer underneath and you don’t need to vacuum underneath (much)!

I really like this simple, classic gingham design- currently in the sale at John Lewis.

 I really love having a throw or eiderdown type thing on the bed- it just makes it that extra bit cosier especially on the chilly nights. This one is from a Etsy shop, ButaAndButi, based in Winchester.
